It finally arrived, I returned back to work this week. I was slowly (and I mean slowly) preparing myself for the day by trying to be positive. I got the lunches ready the night before and I even got dinner prepped too. I packed both my bag and my son's bag ready for his day at nursery. I felt good about his first day away from me as I returned back; however, I felt nervous not knowing what to expect walking back into an office I spent 16 years being a part of. The drop off for my son was pretty straight forward, a few standard tears from him but he was soon distracted by breakfast. I made a quick getaway and headed to work.

Do You Ever Recover From a Caesarean?
The truth? I think you never recover. I remember when I was growing up, I wondered why my mum always touched the lower part of her tummy, and it was always cold. I often asked, and she said, “it’s always been like that since having you.” I didn’t really think anything of it, but I think that was because I didn’t really understand.
