Always a Part of Me
Dinner parties are really fun, until you are forced to have family dinner with 5 other families who you've never met in the stuffy back room of an eating disorder clinic. Weeks prior to this get-together, my mother had told me that she wanted me to go to Walden Behavioral Care to, “get skills to cope with eating disorder behaviors” which at the time I thought was a load of bull, now I can at least admit and recognise that I did, and do have an eating disorder. Took me a while to admit that.

It's Better This Way
For as long as I remember, my parents always bickered back and forth. For as long as I remember, my parents never kissed, hugged, or held hands. When my father tried to pull my mother close, she would push him away. When my mother tried to talk to my father, he was not receptive.

It’s Not Goodbye; It’s See You Soon
It was mid-July and the intense summer heat was in full effect. We were on our way to go camping in Vermont, my mother’s side had already gotten the camper set up right on Lake Bomoseen. It was supposed to be an amazing way to spend part of summer break, but with one phone call that all changed.
