Some Things to Think On

To do... or not to do... that is the question.

Abortion. It's a topic that is discussed over numerous platforms, with dozens of opinions and arguments.

Abortion in its most basic terms is; the termination of a pregnancy.

In the USA, this can mean before 24 weeks or before four months of pregnancy.

No matter who you are, consider this.

There are things to consider when looking at abortion. Moral reasons are personal to each person and we won't question them here. In the end, you choose what is right for you and your life, beliefs, and morals.

Consider the life that could be lived. Think about adoption as an option first. Abortion should be a last resort.

Consider This

A woman has her own body. Freedom in America means under our current laws it is up to you "the woman" to decide what to do. I would encourage any woman that maybe doesn't want children yet, can't afford children or doesn't want a baby period; to seriously consider giving your child up for adoption. It could have a loving family, go to school, and as the mother after you give it up for adoption, you have no reason to be involved; if you desire that.

Abortion is a termination of a fetus. The baby ceases to live after an abortion. If you decide it's what is best for you then it's an option you can take. It's legal and in most cases very safe.

If You Decide to Abort...

If you're not going to Planned Parenthood, take the same steps you would if seeing a normal doctor. Read patient reviews, talk to the doctor, and have your initial first visit. Afterward, get a second opinion. Make sure the doctor you are going to has done the procedure before. Be safe, read up and choose someone you are comfortable with.

Going to a clinic that has no reviews or bad reviews is risky and you could end up the victim of malpractice. Though it is rare, it can be hard to get pregnant after an abortion if the procedure wasn't done properly or correctly.

This does not happen very often, but when it does it's in places that are not reviewed well. Just like any medical procedure, always go to a professional.

What about all the children already up for adoption?

Depending on your state, the adoption numbers will vary. Adoption itself needs a change. Sometimes it is expensive, but there are adoption sites that will help you adopt a child.

Adoption agencies don't discriminate. They don't judge you based on your race, marital status or sexual orientation. All they are concerned with is finding a good home for a child.

If you choose you can also go through a private adoption agency. This is a good choice if you are wanting to pick the new parents yourself.

My hope is that you will decide not to get an abortion and instead put your baby up for adoption.

Is there a moral dilemma?

Only if you consider it personal to you. You should never feel guilty about choosing something that relates to you. Only you can decide your morals and values. While some may not always agree with you, only you can make the choice. I would just ask that you think very carefully about that choice, do your research and prepare yourself for exactly what you are going to be doing. Know what to expect so there aren't any surprises.

Remember to think for yourself. Listen to information and advice, take what you can use and discard what you don't need.

God Bless, and may you walk the road less traveled.
