"Clean Up in Aisle 3."
Its 9:15pm and I'm standing in the middle of the baking ingredients aisle of my local supermarket as I feel a wave of depression hit me like a wall. Tears begin to well up as I take a deep sigh and try to focus on the adult contemporary holiday music instead of the watery escape of my own emotional stress. Stress that I've actively tried to ignore for the past 5 months and especially in the past 48 hours. A grown man, alone, and about to cry in the most public way.

Anyone who gets to know me knows that I LOVE tattoos. My entire body is essentially already mapped out in my mind, as to what I plan on getting next. I've been blessed to meet some great artists throughout my life who continue to grow in talent and character. Outside of being home with my wife and children, getting to hang out in a tattoo shop is my second place of zen. The sounds, scents, and conversations within just make me feel at peace. Some of my ink is for fun while other pieces have certain meanings that connect me to some rather important moments in my life. This is the tale of one of my more meaningful tattoos.

The Potential Within
Everyone is born with one constant human quality. One thing that transcends race, religion, gender, and social status. Every child that comes into this world and takes its first breath is given this incredible gift. I have it. You have it. Your friends and family have it. Every man, woman, and child has it. That special gift given to all of us is POTENTIAL.
