Bio
I love to write, so this is something I do on the evenings and weekends. Maybe one day it will turn into a full time gig for me. I have three children. One is in college and my younger two are in elementary school.Stories (11/0)
Christmas Homecoming (Pt. 2)
Descending the steps, I stepped right in front of Bryson. I was so close to him, I could feel his breath on my face. My insides were eating me up as I spoke. “Bryson, why should I give you the time of day? What could you possibly have to say to me?”

Christmas Homecoming
The snow blanketed the pastures alongside the highway as I drove home. It looked white and pure. The next thought that ran through my mind was, but all things white get dirty. This is my first time going home in two years. I left right after my divorce was final.

Love Is in the Air
The water was cold as I laughed and ran through it to get away from Zach. The moon’s reflection off the ocean was beautiful. It was the perfect night. We had dinner with some friends and decided to take a walk on the beach before going home. Zach had it all planned and surprised me with wine and cheesecake under the full moon.

It Doesn't Get Easier
Blessings come in many ways. For me, one major blessing is that I was able to have my grandparents in my life into my forties. I know many people can’t say that. They say losing someone that you’re close to gets easier as time passes, but I don’t believe that to be true. Your life just changes. My blessing is having grandparents for as long as I did, and my three kids were able to make some memories with them.

Answers from the Past Part 3
I pulled out picture after picture of different family events from when I was a child. There were newspaper articles of significant events, such as when I was in track and volleyball in high school. I couldn’t believe my grandparents didn’t put this stuff in photo albums. I put the box aside after I put everything back in. I thought to myself, this summer when I don’t have classes, I’ll put all that stuff in albums and scrap book some of it.

Answers From the Past
“As we have discussed our ancestors and how their choices affect us in the present, I would like all of you to think of one person who is deceased that had an impact on your life. How did their choices affect who you are and where you are today? I want you to do some serious research on this and interview family members. Quote some things they say in your paper. This is due next Wednesday. That gives you a week for interviews. You all are dismissed.”
