I need your help please 🙏🏼 who am I? A disabled 52 year old doing her best to find her way in the world. I have Ehlers Danlos with a side serving of POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia) along with allergies 🤧 to too many things. My neck is damaged and I look 👀 at the 🌎 sideways. Every day is a pain 🤕 day. Yet I’m still me, happy 😊 most of the time and just doing the best I can.

So here is little old 5ft 1” me at 8 and some stone. I have a condition called Ehlers Danlos which causes me to dislocate easily. Since the birth of my 2 children my hips have lost their stability and sub-lax frequently. (Partially move out the joint socket) the same happens with my wrists & knees on a regular basis. Most nights I dislocate my big toes on the duvet and often wake with ribs out of place. I don’t have a central solid core muscle so I fall over very easily.

Pass Me the Moon Please Mummy
Visiting the #moonexhibition at London’s #NaturalHistoryMuseum this June got me to thinking about my parenting. It triggered a memory of being about six years old, lying in bed, unable to sleep, and chatting to my daddy whilst looking out the window at the night sky, and him saying to me, “if I could give you the moon I would.”
