Let's Not Play Catch Up
One of the damaging ways that generations fail or what keeps us from progressing is when you let problems, enemies, or circumstances get in between your family. I am very passionate about family, family legacy, support, growth, and faithfulness. In this particular write-up, I want to focus on the financial struggle and why it seems like others are progressing and building wealth. How can we better prepare, prevent, and establish more opportunities for the next generation, especially in the black community? In the near future, I will touch on more specific ways and alternatives to move forward, but now its more about getting the focus on the topic.

Got to Stay Focused
I will be the first to say that I have started a lot of projects and haven’t finished them. I have also procrastinated to the point where I convinced myself that what I started in the first place wasn’t as important as I previously assumed. After a while, it starts to become a habit and you find yourself getting involved with things or committing to something and not following through, which effects your relationship with people, damages your integrity, and you lose trust in yourself.

Family Dynamic
One of the most important things, if not "the" most important thing in life, is family. I enjoy learning and experiencing the different atmospheres and systems each family has built generation after generation. The rules of life vary through multiple cultures, sizes, ethnicities, and locations. However, the way you and your family operate is neither good or bad, but it is the most beautiful thing in the world because it's your family. There are definitely troubles, heartache, distance, and other things that happen, but you have to always stick together. In my family, I make it a point and emphasize that no matter what we are a team and it doesn't matter how mad we get at each other we will not stop having contact with each other or stop loving each other. Find the joy and peace in your family and you will realize you don't have to look at someone else's family and make it #familygoals.

J's Journal
When you get confused sometimes, it is hard to be solid in anything that you are doing. I find myself looking and reaching out to people, activities, and experiences to fill that void and they never work. I feel so overwhelmed sometimes and I know there are others who feel the same way that I do or are going through similar emotions. I want to create this journal, blog, post, however you want to call it so that I can express and release tension I have within myself, allow others to connect with me and to see a way that can change their perspective and/or give them an opportunity to build themselves and their peers to another level. I want everyone to be entertained, enlightened, informed, supported, and peaceful while reading any content that I publish. Below are the topics and the directions I plan to address and speak on throughout this process and journey.

Seize Me
6-13-18 I feel my thoughts and ideas moving so fast. I don’t really know if I can keep up. But I keep pushing because I can sense the wave of change; the pressure from my thoughts and my actions are about to erupt. Sometimes it’s hard to connect the dots. I can’t sense my direction, but the calming thoughts of faith means a lot,I just relax and break my goals out into different sections. Spending all day trying to fight my heart with what the world wants, then I look up and see all the time I wasted I could have just wrote down my thoughts, I could have just took action and decided later, knowing no matter what I have favor. Have so many distractions I’ll try to cater, it’s no wonder I don’t ever see what I was supposed to see until later. What’s the difference between that and meeting a girl and realizing you really want to date her. Do I just watch her leave, question myself, fearing rejecting? Or should I just breathe, pace myself, and embrace the new connection?
