Parenting is one of the most researched topics in the field of psychology. The whole goal of parenting is to make your child productive, responsible and independent, so I am going to share some tips with you that will help you to achieve those goals.

1. Don't Tell, Do!

The human species is the species that learns from imitation, so don't just tell your child what to do, show them what to do and how to do. This way they will learn.

2. Love Your Child

Remember, loving your child does not mean spoiling the child or overprotecting them. Loving your child could mean just spending more time with him or her, giving him or her more hugs, listening to them carefully and answering their questions, etc.

3. Always Observe Your Child

Try to understand what's going on in their mind. Try to understand their emotions, because children are not going to tell you everything, so you will have to try to understand them in order to solve their issues.

4. Improve Your Relationship with Your Spouse

Yeah, you heard it right! Improving your relationship with your spouse after having a child can considerably improve your relationship with your child as well.

Because the relationship between you and your spouse can affect your relationship with your child, always try to improve your relationship with your spouse. Take care of both yourself and your spouse.

Maintain good physical and mental health for yourself and encourage your spouse to do the same.

5. Don't Spank Your Child

Don't spank your child. This gives the child a signal that violence can solve issues. Studies show that when the child is spanked at their house, they are most likely to be aggressive and become bullies in school.

6. Always Give Pure Water

Children usually have weaker immunity systems. They can get affected by harmful bacteria or viruses very quickly. Many diseases are caused by unclean drining water, and that's why you should always give pure water, purified by a good water purifier, to your child.

7. Encourage Your Child to Do New Things

Always try to encourage your child to do new things, because children have the most creative minds, and their minds do not know any kind of limitations. This will help you to know what your child is interested in.

8. Use Science for Your Advantage

There are a lot of studies that have been done on parenting which have pulled out many different ways to discipline child. But when it comes to children, there is no one size fits all strategy. Besides spanking children, there are a lot of other parenting tacticslike reasoning, reasoning, time-in and time-out.

You should try all of them and see which works for your child.

Remember that spanking can also cause great damage, and it can make your child think that violence is a solution.

9. Reflect On Your Own Childhood

You should reflect and think about how you were raised. What things did you like about your parents and what things did you not like about parents?

How can you change such things? How can you do things better?

Answering these questions will give you a better perspective.

Try to apply these changes in real life. At first it will be hard, but keep on trying. It just take practice.

Lastly, think about what your job as a parent is. It is to make your child responsible, disciplined, empathetic. But while going through the day, how many times do you actually think about it?

Usually, the aim of most parents is to survive. They often forget about their duties. And such things are common, especially if you are a new parent. At such times, you should take a little break, relax, cool down and remember your responsibilities.
